Trading Behavior Investigation

This module trains Junior Dealers to spot behavior worth reviewing, collect reproducible evidence and decide whether to escalate. It does not authorize a Junior to label a client or determine a violation.

Signals worth reviewing

Review rapid open/close activity, very short holding times, concentrated profits, sudden large lots, batch orders, news-event concentration, XAUUSD or single-symbol concentration, market-open/gap behavior, repeated order times, EA-like or latency-sensitive patterns, similar behavior across accounts, opposite-direction account patterns and short Deposit → Trade → Withdrawal sequences.

Each signal is a reason to gather evidence—not proof of scalping, abuse, coordination or a rule breach.

  1. Confirm Account, Closed Orders and Trade Time in MT4/MT5 or an approved account view.
  2. Record Open Time, Close Time, Holding Time, Lots, Open/Close Price and P/L.
  3. Use Edge Orders to verify Tickets; use Decision / Ticks only when price context is relevant.
  4. Align Server Time and check CPI, NFP, FOMC, market open or rollover when relevant.
  5. Compare a meaningful historical sample; do not select only profitable orders.
  6. Expand to related accounts only when common timing, symbol, size or direction supports it.
  7. Use UID, IP, Device and fund-flow data only when supported and permitted; otherwise record them as unknown.

Edge and MT4/MT5

MT4/MT5 confirms Account, Orders, Positions, History, Group, Symbol, Trade Time, Volume, Open/Close Price, SL/TP and Comment/Source where applicable. Edge supports order-chain, tick, relationship, alarm and system-context investigation. Edge is one investigation tool, not the entire Desk workflow. Detailed MT Manager operations belong in later MT Operation Training.

Do not write: “Client is scalper.”

Write: “The account shows repeated short-duration XAUUSD trades. Eighteen profitable trades closed within three minutes during the reviewed period. This is an observed pattern, not a violation finding; further review is recommended.”

Junior assessment options are Normal, Watch, Suspicious, or Unable to Confirm. Suspicious means escalation is justified, not that a violation is confirmed.

Continue to Evidence and Timeline, then complete the behavior cases.
